Sculpted by American artist James Earle Fraser, The End of the Trail has endured to become one of the most recognizable images in the Western United States. A native-American indian is portrayed in an exhausted pose on his long ride home.

It resembles R. Atkinson Fox, Zula Kenyon, and Adelaide Hiebel who also produced full color indian scenes.
